Policies and Key documents

Please contact the school office if you would like a paper copy of any policy.

Data Protection governs how information about living people (such as pupils, parents, staff and volunteers) is collected and used. The UK data protection regime is set out in the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018, along with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Data protection law applies to the processing of personal data. This means data which relates to an individual who can be identified from that information. It does not affect all the records the school holds because much of it will not contain personal data.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is the national regulator of data protection legislation. If there is something that we are doing that is not quite as it should be, a complaint can be made to the ICO. The ICO website is a key place to find further information on data protection: https://ico.org.uk/

Privacy Notices are what we use to explain what personal data we collect and what we do with it, such as if we share it with anyone else. The school has a privacy notice for the following:
We reserve the right to update the above notices at any time, and we will provide you with a new privacy notice when we make any substantial updates. We may also notify you in other ways from time to time about the processing of your personal information.

We hope that the School Business Manager can resolve any query you raise about our use of your information in the first instance.  We have appointed a data protection officer (DPO) to oversee compliance with data protection and the privacy notices.  If you have any questions about how we handle your personal information which cannot be resolve by the School Business Manager, then you can contact the DPO on the details below:

Schools in England get additional funding from the government to help them to raise attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.

The PE and sport premium is allocated to schools to help them provide additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of the physical education, physical activity and sport they provide. The guidance states that as well as this, you should use the PE and sports premium to build capacity and capability within the school, to ensure that improvements made now will benefit children joining the school in future years.
