On behalf of the Governing Board, I am delighted to welcome you to Evelina Hospital School. It’s a great privilege to serve this exceptional community as Chair, where education is delivered with both compassion and ambition. From my first visit, I was struck by the unwavering dedication of our staff, the boundless energy of our pupils, and the passion our teachers bring to fostering a love of learning in every student.

As a Governing Board, we take immense pride in both our children and the school community, and we are committed to supporting the continued success of the school. We achieve this by driving the ongoing development and improvement of all aspects of school life. Our governors bring a wide range of expertise from various fields, including education, finance, law, business, and other areas, and collaborate through two key committees—Resources and Pastoral & Curriculum—to ensure strong leadership, effective resource management, high standards in teaching and safeguarding, and robust accountability for both educational and financial performance.

We work closely with Headteacher Ms. Hamilton and her team to uphold the school’s core values, ensuring that every child receives a meaningful and enriching education, regardless of the nature or duration of their hospital stay.

I am deeply grateful for the unwavering commitment of my fellow governors, as well as the dedication and hard work of our teaching and support staff at Evelina. Together, they tirelessly support the success and wellbeing of each student, empowering them to thrive in this unique environment and beyond.
