Evelina Hospital School is a community special school meeting the needs of young people who are patients in Evelina London Children’s Hospital.   We are situated opposite Westminster, on the south of the Thames in the heart of central London.

We are committed to providing outstanding personalised education where every child feels valued, nurtured and respected within our hospital school.  We teach children from 2-19 with the full spectrum of abilities and special educational and medical needs, so we are looking for a flexible, experienced Senior Teacher, who can adapt quickly to changing situations.  We need a dynamic and creative Senior Teacher who will ensure an enriching educational experience for our pupils.

Our School is a unique, rewarding and challenging place to work, and we look forward to welcoming a new Senior Teacher into our supportive team.  The successful candidate will support and promote the school’s ethos and core values.

The successful Senior Teacher will be an excellent teacher with a successful track record of impacting positively on pupil progress with the enthusiasm and skills to lead and develop staff.

The successful SEN Teacher will have QTS or equivalent and teaching experience with the primary age range and/or subject(s) applying for.  Experience of working with pupils who have a range of additional needs including ASD and communication difficulties is also required.  Applicants should have up to date knowledge of statutory regulations and guidance relating to the SEND Code of Practice and specialist SEN provision.

We teach children from 2-19 with the full spectrum of abilities and special educational and medical needs, so we are looking for a flexible, experienced primary teacher, who can adapt quickly to changing situations.

This role is Hay grade 6, SPC 9-16 (£25,602 – £29,010 pro rata FTE)

Contract type: 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Evelina Hospital School is committed to providing personalised education where every child feels valued, nurtured and respected within our hospital school. We teach children with medical needs from 2-19 with the full spectrum of abilities including special educational needs. We are looking for an excellent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team.

We wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant  who can work  across the school and subjects, but we are specifically looking for a candidate who can bring additional skills to complement our team, e.g.  specialist experience in Music, Art and IT or English and Mathematics.

The successful applicant will:

• Be a team worker, who is able to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and  responsibilities.

• Be a good communicator with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Have experience of working with children of mixed age and abilities and be committed to pupil improvement.

• Have good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
